Bryan Hayward is a singer / songwriter, multi-instrumentalist with musical roots in choral liturgy, classical music and popular music. Bryan loves all styles and genres of music and likes nothing more than to please an audience with a familiar song. He started playing in bands at 17 quickly being recruited to play in college bars in New Brunswick and in the bars and clubs along the Jersey shore. Initially a keyboardist and vocalist, he learned to play bass and guitar in original and cover bands in the late 80’s and throughout the 90’s.

Between 1986 and 2001 he played in a number of bands with local popularity for their solid musicianship and enthusiastic delivery. He played in bands with names like The Questions, Special EFX, Parlez and Partial Credit and finally under his own name releasing albums, tapes and CDs to modest success.

Bryan’s band, like many New Jersey bands, played on the Uncle Floyd Show with Floyd Vivino whose brother Jimmy Vivino led the Late Night band with Conan O’Brien as well as his side project, the Fab Faux. Some time later, Bryan’s band got the opportunity to play some club engagements with Uncle Floyd throughout New Jersey. Bryan’s bands have opened for Aimee Mann, The Fix and Glenn Burtnick amongst other classic acts at great venues like Asbury Park’s Stone Pony, the once great Stone Balloon formerly in Newark, Delaware, Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant, the Trade Winds in Sea Bright, the Osprey in Manasquan and even the Binghamton Ferry in Edgewater. Bryan’s band was the backing band for “Studdering John” Melendez for several months while working with STARS management. Some of his favorite shows have been at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village in New York City.

Bryan enjoys playing original and cover songs – whatever it takes to send the audience home happier than when they arrived. He can be seen with his current band, Silent Q, in venues across New Jersey. Be sure to see the Silent Q website for a calendar of dates. Also find Bryan playing keyboards with the great Santana tribute band, Soul Sacrifice at a great venue near you.

Bryan will also be promoting his new album Oh Buoy with the Bryan Hayward Band in late 2019 and 2020. His new album Pier Pressure is currently in production. Check back for the schedule of dates.
